10-Day Grenadines Sailing Itinerary from Grenada
A 10-day Grenadines itinerary from Grenada adds Mayreau, Petit St Vincent and Petit Martinique to the core Carriacou–Tobago Cays run, plus one unused weather day. Roughly 140 nautical miles round-trip. It is the version most guests prefer: the same islands as the 7-day, without any day that feels like a transit.

What is the 10-day route?
| Day | Stop | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Grenada south coast | Board, provision, short sail to Hog Island or Prickly Bay. |
| 2 | Dragon Bay / Moliniere | West coast. Underwater Sculpture Park, black-sand beach, no facilities ashore. |
| 3 | Carriacou — Tyrrel Bay | North, clear of the exclusion zone. Clear out of Grenada. Rum shop ashore. |
| 4 | Petit Martinique | Short hop. Traditional boatbuilding, quiet island, duty-free stock-up. |
| 5 | PSV / Palm Island | Sheltered anchorage off Caribbean Beach. Private-island beaches. |
| 6 | Tobago Cays | Horseshoe Reef. Turtles, snorkel, beach barbecue if conditions allow. |
| 7 | Tobago Cays | Second night. Sandbar lunch, no passage. |
| 8 | Mayreau — Saltwhistle Bay | Protected horseshoe bay, free anchoring, hill walk, Dennis’ Hideaway. |
| 9 | Union / Chatham Bay | Fuel and clearance at Clifton, then Chatham or Frigate Island. |
| 10 | Carriacou — Sandy Island | Reef snorkel, last night at Tyrrel Bay. Grenada the next morning. |
Is 10 days better than 7?
For most guests, yes. The 10-day adds Mayreau, PSV and Petit Martinique and holds a spare day for weather, so no single bad forecast compresses the trip. You can sail the Grenadines in a week; ten days is what people actually remember.
Questions about this itinerary
What’s the difference between the 7-day and the 10-day?
Three islands and a weather day. The 7-day reaches the Tobago Cays and turns around. The 10-day adds Mayreau’s Saltwhistle Bay, Petit St Vincent and Petit Martinique, and keeps one unscheduled day in reserve so the forecast never forces a rushed passage.
Do we sail every day?
No. Two days have no passage at all — the second Cays night and the spare day. Most moving legs are under 20 nautical miles, two to three hours. Mornings sail, afternoons swim and snorkel, evenings ashore or aboard.
How much of this is in St Vincent & the Grenadines?
Days 4 through 10, roughly. The captain clears out of Grenada at Carriacou and into SVG at Clifton on Union, then clears back in on the final leg. Marine park fees apply in the Tobago Cays.
Can we do a one-way and fly out of Carriacou?
Possible, but it changes the economics and the airport logistics. Carriacou (CRU) is a small field with limited connections; most guests fly out of Maurice Bishop (GND). Ask us and we’ll price it.
Where is the best snorkelling?
Horseshoe Reef in the Tobago Cays for turtles and coral, Sandy Island off Carriacou, Moliniere Point for the Sculpture Park, and the reef at the south end of Chatham Bay.
Is there internet aboard?
Patchy. Grenada and Carriacou have decent cell coverage; the Tobago Cays effectively do not. Marinas such as Prickly Bay have shore-side internet. Plan on being offline for two or three days.
Can we dive?
Not from the boat, but we coordinate with dive operators in Carriacou and Union, and the Sculpture Park is divable from Grenada. Tell us in advance so the captain can build in the stop.
