5-Day Grenada Sailing Itinerary
A 5-day Grenada sailing itinerary stays entirely within Grenadian waters: the west coast to Dragon Bay and Moliniere Point, the beach at Grand Anse, and the south coast anchorages at Hog Island and Prickly Bay. No customs clearances, no passage over 15 nautical miles, and a professional captain aboard throughout.

What does the 5-day route cover?
| Day | Stop | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Clarkes Court / Hog Island | Board late morning. Short shake-down sail, swim, sunset at Roger’s Barefoot Beach Bar. |
| 2 | Grand Anse | Sail west around Point Salines. Two miles of white sand, beach bars, easy night. |
| 3 | Dragon Bay / Moliniere | Short hop north. Snorkel the Underwater Sculpture Park — the Caribbean’s first. Black-sand beach, no facilities ashore. |
| 4 | St George’s / Carenage | Sail south. Fort George, the Carenage waterfront, spice market, dinner ashore. |
| 5 | South coast | Prickly Bay or Hog Island. Last swim, slow lunch, back to base. Off the following morning. |
Who is the 5-day trip for?
People with a short window, first-time sailors, and families testing whether a week aboard suits them. It is the only itinerary with zero international clearances, so boarding and disembarking are simple and the whole trip sits inside one country.
Questions about this itinerary
Do we need sailing experience?
No. A professional captain runs the boat, the anchoring and the navigation for the entire trip. You need no licence, no logged miles and no prior time on a catamaran. Guests sail as much or as little as they want.
Is 5 days long enough to be worth it?
Yes, for Grenada itself. Five days covers the west coast, the Sculpture Park, Grand Anse and the south coast anchorages comfortably. It is not long enough to reach the Grenadines — Carriacou and the Tobago Cays need seven days minimum.
Do we need a passport?
Bring one for your flights, but the 5-day route never leaves Grenada, so there are no clearances in or out and no immigration stops during the trip.
How long are the sailing days?
Short. Every leg is under 15 nautical miles, typically one to three hours. Mornings sail, afternoons swim. There is no open-water channel crossing on this itinerary.
Where do we fly into?
Maurice Bishop International (GND), about 25 minutes from the south coast base. Most North American and UK routes connect through Miami, New York, Toronto or London Gatwick.
What’s the best time of year?
December through April — dry season, steady northeast trades. May, June and November are quieter and cheaper. We do not run trips inside a named-storm window.
